The Electronic Textual Cultures Laboratory at the University of Victoria (http://etcl.uvic.ca/) invites you to attend the second of four sessions in the 2016-17 “Nuts and Bolts” of Digital Humanities series. These discussions focus on the pragmatics of DH research and tap into the experiences and expertise of people working on a variety of DH projects.

The ETCL welcomes you to a conversation with Alyssa Arbuckle about the art of crafting DH grant applications specifically for DH events and community building. Alyssa brings to the conversation years of experience writing successful grant applications for the ETCL. As part of her talk, she will discuss the importance of community building in the digital humanities, where to look for funding opportunities, and strategies for composing successful grant applications.
