Abstract: Toward documenting elements of a dynamic electronic scholarly edition, this paper explores work toward such an edition of the Devonshire MS (BL Add MS 17492), a poetic miscellany of the mid-1530s originating in the English court and representing the first sustained example, in English, of men and women writing together in a community.
