Free workshop: Introduction to Project Management
 
This Electronic Textual Cultures Lab (ETCL)-sponsored day-long workshop in project management will cover the basics of project management from project definition to project review upon completion, with an emphasis on digital projects. Topics such as project definition, planning and tracking progress, gaining stakeholder support and approval, risk management, critical path scheduling, software tools, and related online resources will be discussed. Material will be covered through lectures, discussions, and case studies, with plenty of hands-on activities by participants.​

Lynne Siemens is Associate Professor with the School of Public Administration, University of Victoria, with research and teaching interests in academic entrepreneurship, project management, and team development.  She has led workshops on Project Management at the Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria and other universities and serves as a facilitator/consultant to several research teams.​​​
