Note: We are excited to accept applications for this position, initially for a 3-4 month contract with possibility of renewal for up to 2 years (funds permitting). We are advertising this initially as a short-term position because the previous holders were offered and accepted full-time, ongoing positions before the end of the postdoctoral fellowship’s funding.
The Implementing New Knowledge Environments Partnership (INKE, inke.ca) seeks applicants for a short-term postdoctoral fellowship to collaborate on an international partnership project focused on open social scholarship – creating and disseminating research and research technologies to a broad, interdisciplinary audience of specialists and non-specialists in ways that are both accessible and significant. This position works with the INKE Partnership, an industry partner, and ETCL teams on several initiatives, including the Open Scholarship Policy Observatory (ospolicyobservatory.uvic.ca), the Canadian Humanities and Social Sciences Commons (hsscommons.ca), a number of related research environmental scans and summaries, the Digital Humanities Summer Institute (dhsi.org), and in developing digital humanities projects within an academic framework.
The full-time (9-5, 40 hours per week) position is located in the Electronic Textual Cultures Lab (ETCL, etcl.uvic.ca) at the University of Victoria; remote work may be an option for this short-term contract.
The ETCL is a leading-edge digital humanities research lab, working on a variety of exciting projects. The INKE Partnership is an international collective of researchers, students, postdocs, and research partners from across Canada and around the world pursuing work in open social scholarship. Self-motivation is essential, as is a proclivity for collaboration and teamwork.
